Candle Care
Our oyster candles are hand-poured into real shells, each one unique in shape and full of character. No two are the same, and that’s what makes them special.
Each candle comes with a natural rope base to help you find the right balance. Before lighting, make sure your shell sits evenly and securely on a flat, heat-resistant surface.
The oyster shell has been carefully tested to withstand heat, so it’s completely safe to burn. It will not crack or break while the candle is lit, as long as it’s placed properly and not exposed to direct cold surfaces or sudden temperature changes.
Before every burn, trim the wick to about 0.5 cm (¼ inch) — this helps the flame burn cleanly and prevents smoke. Allow the wax to melt all the way to the edges of the shell before blowing it out, to avoid tunneling and ensure an even, longer-lasting burn.
The pearls inside are made from natural wax, designed to melt slowly along with the candle, adding a soft glow and an organic touch to the experience.
For your safety, never leave a burning candle unattended, and keep it away from children, pets, and flammable materials. Avoid burning for more than 3–4 hours at a time, and always allow it to cool completely before touching or moving it.
Once your candle is finished, don’t throw the shell away — give it a second life. Clean it gently with warm water and reuse it as a jewelry holder, trinket dish, or decorative piece, keeping the story of your oyster candle alive.
